Silktone Overdrive + EP372
The Silktone Overdrive + is a great alternative to a Tubescreamer or any overdrive out there. It has a unique tonal quality and a special boost section that allows for a cocked wah effect or a full range boost.

Hi master Budda. Do you only use the blossom point pedal for Spaghetti Western sound?
Not at all. I use it as a tone shaper
I love your playing! You have a great feel.
Thanks a lot
Thanks for another helpful video! I'm going to look for your video on the black DanElectro tuned to open C. I have an Epi Dot that I have converted to a baritone ... C to C. I learned on that guitar that HB size P90s bring it from mud to glory. It amazed me that super cheap $30 Chinese made HB size P90s sounded so much better in that guitar than SD Antiquities ... that cost a LOT. Anyway ..... I tried 58 44 32 20p 14 11. Too cumbersome for my fingerpicking. So I went to 56 42 30 19p 13 10. The lowest 3 strings I got from stringsandbeyond, and the upper 3 strings I got from Stringjoy. The lower 3 strings are D'Addario flatwounds. I have not tried them yet ... but I think they should be the ideal gauges. At least, for me. Let me know what you think ..
Thanks for sharing
I need that axis fuzz, but on a power supply.. Which battery you use in your Axis Fuzz? Carbon zinc seems more of a pain than regulars. Are they worth it? Or is there a way to get the same sound with a power supply?
If you get the Axis Fuzz version other than the Rocket it works with power supply. The carbon zync are super cheap.
@@BuddaGuedes Thx!
From my listening point I can notice that the timbral difference is due to the fact that with the windshield it loses the attack in the transients, which is why it gives the sensation of loss of frequencies.
It’s less harsh and a little more compressed
Nice review, amp collection ufff! greetings from El Salvador,
Thanks a lot
The Marshall 1959 is my favorite because unlike the 1987x (I’ve owned) the 1959 is a fatter sounding version.. I’ve owned a bunch of different models inMarshall’s line up…JMP, JCM800, and a 1987x and a few other non tube and hybrid tubes, Valve-state, MOSFET 100, JMD… The 1959 I’ve owned is a reissue from the year 2000, it’s now modified so I don’t need a patch cable to jump the two channels together, it’s done internally…Also have extra gain stages added to each volume control by adding diodes which act as a boost… Mine screams for what it is and the 1959 works great using distortion pedals and overdrive pedals…It’s a versatile format
It’s a beautiful sounding amp but to loud for this planet
Shin-ei Uni-Vibe I found out how great it is!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I put a 75w Creamback in mine & it sounds killer!
Spend the extra money and go with the Vox
🙏
Budda!! My friend!! Could you pairing this amp with Deluxe Reverb 65 pleaseee? 🤗❤️
It’s one of the goals. Will be doing it soon
Same effect with Fender DR65 and Vox Ac30 ?
Not really but similar
Have you had any issues with it in the last couple of months?
Not at all
I found one of these amps for a good price, but I’m worried that it will be too loud to use home, as was my Boogie in 5w mode.
It’s not too loud. They are not super reliable
@@BuddaGuedesThanks. I’m using the D Kowalski half a watt (0.5w), hand wired boutique amp. $449USD and it’s great. It is Boogie dirt and Fender-style clean. I also use Tone King Gremlin (5w) at home.
Please STOP!!!. YOUR TALIKNIG IS NON STOP. PLEse stop.
Please don't blabber.
Please don't take long. Get on with it.
Seems like it is really difficult for you to speak. I will try to hang on.
It’s not as hard as it is for you to write. You now you can skip forward on RUclips?
You need to try the 29 Pedals FLWR
Thanks for the tip
I like the Jensen better. More warm mids.
🙏
Pedals ok,BUT THAT GUITAR JUST BLEW MY MIND.LOVE IT.
Me too
Silktone makes nice products for sure, and congrats on getting the DC30 (one of the best amps ever made). When you say how responsive it is to your playing at 9:00, what are we listening for? Aren't tubes more responsive than JFETs?
I can’t compare tube with j-FET because I’m already playing through tubes. What I mean with responsive is the way it reacts to my right hand. It cleans or orverdrives depending how hard i hit it
Sounds good to me. Great playing as always. #majikband loves your channel.
Thanks a lot
What a nice overdrive! LOVE IT!
Me too
This lesson and the part 2 of the Open A tunning has so much valuable information, what a great, great lesson... this is a masterclass Budda, thank you so much for sharing. I was learning Blues Going Down from this band called Budda Power Blues, don´t know if you know it and I wasn´t happy with the chord voices I had, so I stopped and went back to basics and remember that you had upload this lessons and man... how helpful this was. It may look obvious from your perspective but from someone who is learning blues everyday this has unlocked another level of choices. Cheers Budda!!
I’m really happy to know that
Great video. It's like I'm watching myself in a manic tone test. My question is were you just stacking these pedals in series. Please tell me I'm missing something here because when you cancel the original device the pre section would still be engaged and all other vibes would be going through that preamp. I hope I'm missing something.
I’m using them in series because it was the best option for me . But there’s always other ways of doing it
I have had and enjoyed both versions but I only kept the blue version in the hand wired ac15. There is a depth the greenback does not have. Also, my god that Telecaster sounds divine! Is it stock pickups in that ‘52 reissue? I have the AV’64 headed my way now. /thanks for this review
Mine has Lindy fralin blues special tele pickups because the original died on me
Hi. What are the values of your pots? I want to do this mod to my strat but I would like to keep the stock pots but not sure how it will work sinces g&l uses 1meg pot for the bass cut
I had to use the 1 mega
Were they the stock tue s in there? I just bought a used one and it had very, very much mids with humbuckers. Have been trying to dial it in. Notice that the drive channel accents different freq for the mid and treble when engaged, which is a good idea. Anyway, thanks for the video, I hadn’t thought to raise the bass as much as you have and made it sound good. Will try that.
It’s stock tubes indeed
@@BuddaGuedes thanks. Good to know.
yeah good film
🙏🙏
I was really thinking about getting this and putting it before my Two Notes Le Clean preamp and a Cab M. No longer need to buy more pedals. The Cab M can be upgraded to a Cab M+ and itself is a preamp. I believe a Fender Silver Face is the amp it emulates which is fine by me. If I want a Plexi I can buy a used Le Crunch since Two notes no longer makes the Le Preamp.
👌👌
Amp with blue in it plus extensions cabinet with green - problem solved😊❤
👌👌
I like the Tonemaster better. Classic Fender clean sound.
👌
The BIG surprise for me was how much I preferred the 58 with grill over the others - just a nastier more exciting sound. I've used my 57s and a 58 for vocals and this just doesn't align with my experience of how the 58 should sound. I've always found it darker and less, not more edgy
I think the 58 is has a lot more bite
Hi Budda, Great tones with this wonderfull Telecaster ** * As always Top video and Mojo! I hope you are well n' happy. See u soon from north Spain W.
Thanks a lot my friend
i have a 73 Marshall Super bass 100 with a 4x12 H12 cab. It peels the paint off the wall....
Here you use 6L6s. Would it make huge différencies with EL84s or EL34s?
It would be different for shire, specially the EL84
Great demo! If you had to choose this or Hudson broadcast dual, which would it be?
They are different. The benson has more eq possibilities but the broadcast has two footswitchable gain settings. I would go for the broadcast because of the two gains.
Congratulations for the new Guitar Budda. I’m completely confident that it sounds as good as it looks. Love the specs, it’s like you have an overdrive, an EQ, a tremolo and a kind of delay (with the out of phase option) in the tip of your finger’s, love it so many options. Joao beyond being a really nice person, it’s an amazing luttier and I love his work, it’s all so authentic and truthful. I have the privilege of owning a Roidz and I can’t get enough of my guitar. Cheers Budda.
Thanks Tiago
Nice
👌
Thank you for playing through the original uni vibe and demonstrating the uni vibe with the flower on it Who makes that one?
Jam pedals makes the one with the flower
It is very important to specify what style of music you play to know exactly what amplifier you should purchase.
It’s a good indicative
thats a mighty fine guitar !
👌
Boa. Depois manda imagens da tua Roodz
@@BuddaGuedes Combinado!
Wonderful sounds! Reminds me of the first guitar I ever built, a custom fully hollow tele with f-hole, and two tv jones filtertrons. Filtertrons sound so good on teles. I really like your combination of the filtertron in the neck and traditional tele bridge pickup.
Thanks a lot
Man, your reviews are among the best we can find. You give me inspiration. You seem a great guy full of passion for guitars and sound. Great pleasure seeing your videos. Thank you for your work, hands down!!
Thanks a lot for your kind words
I finally start to understand how to tweak amps, as I'm mainly a trumpet payer (classic and jazz) but I'm in love with guitar, blues and r'n'r. Again, thanks A LOT for it is some work you're doing, and some knowledge and tips you're giving us. Would be a pleasure to meet and jam with you
Saw a Vox Phantom mini guitar the other day and I think I’m going to pick it up it was so cool looking!
👌
